2007 District Champions
The team captained by Rhonda Garrett competing in the 6.5 Senior Ladies Division won the State Championships. They will now advance to the Southern Sectional Championships in Baton Rouge in January of 2008. Please see attached picture.

Rome Wins Tournament Award
The Rome Tennis Club was recently selected by USTA Georgia as hosting the Team Tennis Event of the Year in the State of Georgia for 2007. This event was the USTA GA Adult League State Championships 2.5/3.0, which were held in Rome in May of 2007. The award was received by (pictured below) Jack Zeiger, Tournament Chairperson and Bill Thornton, President of the Rome Tennis Club and at a luncheon honoring all nominees held in Atlanta.
